Monday Motivation!


Don't let the holidays be your excuse to fall off your exercise routine. Instead, think of working out as your gift to yourself - you'll look and feel better and be healthier and stronger. Today's my birthday, and I still did my workout this morning - because I know the best gift I can give myself is being healthy and strong. Find a little time for yourself everyday to give yourself the same gift.

Planksgiving Challenge


Today marks the halfway point in the Lean Girls Fitness Planksgiving Challenge. It's getting tough - today we're up to a 2 1/2 minute plank. But we're halfway there and if you keep adding 10 seconds a day, you'll be able to do a 5 minute plank by the end of the month. Try listening to a song while you do your plank - distracting yourself can make the time go faster. You can do it! You'll be amazed by how much core and upper body strength you have.

November Planksgiving Challenge


Happy November! Hopefully, you aren't feeling too dead after Halloween because today we are starting the Lean Girls Fitness Planksgiving Challenge.  This challenge is for everyone - no matter how busy you are, you can add a plank to your daily workout routine. Build from a 10 second plank to a 5 minute plank in just one month!  Planks are amazing for your upper body and core strength. If you're a beginner, you can do an "elbow plank" on your forearms, but I'm encouraging everyone to try this challenge with a full basic plank - on your hands with your arms extended and back straight.  You can do it! You'll be amazed by how much strength you can build in a month.
